The HANDMAKER Foundation - an opportunity to make a difference
Donate up to $400 to the Handmaker Foundation to help indigent, frail,
elderly residents of Handmaker and take the credit off your Arizona income
tax.
Under the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Law (ARS 43-1088), you can now
contribute up to $400 to assist the residents of Handmaker Jewish Services
for the Aging, and your generous gift will cost you NOTHING.
You will get every dollar back in reduced taxes.
Who can take advantage of this program?
Anyone who pays taxes in Arizona and itemizes deductions.
How will my/our contribution benefit those in need?
Donations received under this special tax credit program will be used to
underwrite services for the frail elderly who have outlived their
financial resources and must rely on our community’s generosity.
How much can be contributed at no cost?
For couples filing jointly, the maximum donation is $400 ($200 for
individuals). The amount of your Arizona tax credit will be equal to the
amount of your donation to Handmaker, dollar-for-dollar, up to $400.
Can I still give to the AZ tax credit for schools?
Yes! You can do both! You can also support Jewish education in Tucson at
www.cheder.org.
How do we participate?
Simply complete the tax credit form by December 31, and you
will be sent an acknowledgment of your gift for tax documentation
purposes.
You give $400 to help support indigent, frail elderly people
You deduct $400 from your Arizona Income tax (IRS deduction, too)
Your cost is $0 - you’ve done a very good deed at NO cost to you
It has never been easier to help provide for our frail and elderly,
indigent citizens. Please help meet the physical, emotional and spiritual
